Lisa D. Haba
Lisa Haba is an attorney in Central Florida that has spent her career working to eradicate human trafficking and sex crimes from society.
Mrs. Haba currently works for The Haba Law Firm, a boutique law firm that focuses on civil lawsuits for human trafficking survivors against the individuals, businesses, and entities that would allow human trafficking to continue in plain sight. Mrs. Haba is one of the lead attorneys in the infamous #Me Too case against fashion mogul Peter Nygard. This case was been filed in New York and has been covered by The New York Times, CNN, The Miami Herald, and CBC to name a few.
Previously, she served as an Assistant State Attorney in Florida, where she prosecuted human trafficking, sex crimes, child abuse, homicides, violent felonies, and career criminals.
Mrs. Haba serves as the co-chair to the Seminole County Human Trafficking Task Force, is on the Board of Directors for Catholic Charities of Central Florida, and formerly served on the Board of Directors for the Greater Orlando Human Trafficking Task Force.
Throughout her career, Mrs. Haba has received several awards for her legal advocacy. Most notably, she was honored with the award of 2017 Prosecutor of the Year for the State of Florida from Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi for Human Trafficking prosecution and victim advocacy.
